Thank you all for making our first few months very enjoyable. We appreciate that you have been patient with our learning curve on the computer and getting in the buttons, fabric, and other supplies that you need. Please keep spreading the news to your friends that there is a new shop in town. Also please remember I am happy to order anything you see on the internet or in a magazine (assuming I can find it).
COUNTED THREAD MARDI GRAS HEART CLASS
Many of you have admired the mini stockings in the glass case and we are now offering our first class called Mardi Gras Hearts. Even if you have never attempted any canvas work we think you will find that the heart designs are very stitcher friendly even for a beginner.
We are so fortunate to have a wonderful teacher offering an original design for our very first class. Pat Mazu has designed and taught canvas embroidery for the past twenty five years for shops and guilds. Her designs have been published in magazines and guild publications. She is certified as a master teacher for the American Needlepoint Guild.
Please stop by the shop and sign up for the class offered January 29. There are two heart designs to choose from. The class fee will be $20 which includes the canvas, instructions and teaching fee. The threads may be purchased at the shop of if you want to pull from your stash that is an option too. We will provide a material list when you sign up for the class. We ask that your class fee be prepaid to hold your spot in the class. If the class fills up we will offer a second class at a later date. Also if you need help stretching your canvas or selecting threads, please come any time after noon and Pat or Susie will be there to assist you.
STITCH-IN STARTING EVERY THURSDAY OR SATURDAY AFTERNOON
We are going to start having weekly stitch-ins every Thursday and Saturday afternoons. Bring your friends, a drink and sit around and stitch with us. This is nothing formal so no reservations are needed. Bring in any projects you are having trouble with and hopefully we can help or hopefully there will be some people to bounce different ideas off. We stitchers are a very creative group.
